Studying growth patterns in the BPO sector: Philippines vs India
Asia Strategy Groups’ study on the BPO sector indicates that the Philippines is positioned for rapid growth. It was estimated that in 2012, there were 1,200 BPOs generating revenues of almost $12 billion. The financial pundits forecast that as the Western economies improve, the BPO sector in Philippines will expand to $25 billion by 2016. Although the pundits forecast maybe inflated, but it is undeniable that the Philippines will most likely be a beneficiary of the recovery of the markets in the West.
