Teaching Mandarin to kids in Pakistan
Mr. Saleem Qureshi ‘s approach on training a child’s brain to pick up new languages has yielded promising results. He developed a methodology to train the hippocampus on how to retain information using patterns.
Mr. Qureshi conducted several experiments where young kids in Pakistan used his methodology to learn Mandarin, one of the fastest-growing languages globally. His methodology can be found on Lincoln Method
In the first experiment, Mr. Qureshi’s methodology was used to teach a 2-year old girls to count in Mandarin.
The same girl was then taught the days of the week in Mandarin.
Mr. Qureshi then extended his experiment to train older kids to start writing in Mandarin. Students learnt how to write numbers and Chinese radicals (characters).
In the next series of experiments Mr. Qureshi’s project called the Lincoln Method will be teaching kids in Pakistan on how to have a full conversation in Mandarin.
