Career Counsellor's advice
  • Mohsin Khan on 15th Sept, 2015 Sana is seeking an internship in the field of Marketing. To support Sana in her goal, I provided her with a session on Resume Writing skills and also encouraged her to apply for an interview skills workshop. Moreover, we discussed about the employers of her choice and I forwarded her Resume and appropriate details to those specific employers.
  • Mohsin Khan on 30th May, 2015 Sana required guidance in choosing her major (elective courses). My advice to Sana was to choose a rational approach to selecting her major, as she would for any decision. By weighing the pros and cons, and gathering information about her interests, abilities and skills, we collaboratively decided that Marketing would be the ideal field for her. Furthermore, I encouraged Sana to attend career fairs so that she gets an idea about which path would she want to pursue.
  • Mohsin Khan on 15th December, 2014 Sana needed support in applying for an exchange program for Italy. For this purpose, I guided her through the process and discussed with her the minimum criteria that was required to qualify the program. Sana met the CGPA criteria and was successfully able to apply for the program. Moreover, we discussed about the courses that she would be taking and any language or other cultural barriers which she might face. To overcome this potential issue, I introduced her to the student body of the university in Italy, for a get-to-know session.
  • Mohsin Khan on 30th May, 2014 Sana required information regarding financial aid and scholarship. We discussed how she had two options available to her; Endowment Funds and Merit Scholarships. I briefed her on the process of applying for a scholarship and provided her with the list of required documents. Moreover, I detailed her on how changing the course load or failing a course could affect the percentage of scholarship she receives.
